A demonstration is given showing how a tutor helps a student see that homework is important and can be broken into smaller components such as (1) previewing the words, (2) looking at the title, headings and sub-heads, (3) examining graphics and illustrations, (4) learning how to understand and follow directions, and (5) focusing on the purpose and conclusion of the lesson.
